I love Salsaritas..we had one in Raleigh and i was such a fan that I was there at least twice a week. It makes Moe's look like a pale comparison. Try the white "pizza" with shrimp; great snack. Anyplace that has pork as one of of the meat choices is great in my book. Cheap enough and on the main 17 business drag you can see it from the road. Cheap drink specials are also a plus!

IMO the best of similar options for my location, my budget, and my taste. I live on 38th literally right down the street, so location is perfect. Chipotle is a farther drive and I believe moe's is even farther. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the humane concept behind chipotle, and if I have the money and am in the area, I will gladly eat there, but I feel like item for item is more or less the same in taste and size. But salsarita's is cheaper. And guac doesn't cost extra. Plus there are a few additional toppings that can be added in that chipotle doesn't have. And while chips and dip are extra, unlike at moe's, they are cheaper than at chipotle. Everything I've ever gotten has been delicious. Even the fajita style veggie burrito bowl when I was vegetarian. Used to enjoy the pork with a special sour cream (that they've apparently quit making... Sad day). They seem to have good drink specials, but it's not something we've experienced. Also it seems that kids eat free with paid adult meal, but I don't have kids so I'm not sure how that works. If you're nearby and looking for this type of food, definitely check them out!!

Just an average burrito joint. The ingredient are supposed to be fresh and probably are, but the flavor is just so so, I mean if you ever ate a chipotle burrito, I'm sure you probably love it, and this is a little more bland. I got their specialty, a Cassorito, which is just a burrito covered in queso cheese. I ate it all, but nothing to write home about. The best part for families in Sunday kids 12 and under are free and they are only $0.99 Monday-Saturday. So if you're on vacation, save some money one night and eat here.

Because of how they cook their chips here, they are gluten free. Not my favorite Mexican restaurant though - Chipotle and many others rank higher. Wet meat is sad.

What gives, the portions get smaller and smaller every time I visit?!? I use to really enjoy this place, but when I visited today, I felt like my once beloved burrito bowl was being rationed. Inmates are given larger servings! The serving size just doesn't feel price appropriate any longer...I left feeling hungry and short changed. By the way, would it kill someone to wipe a table off? I was in at at 3:00 and struggled to find a clean place to sit down. I'd understand if the place was slammed, but I was in well after lunch and there were only 5 or 6 people seated. I ended up wetting a napkin and wiping off a spot. The couple I was with noted how messy the floor was and I said, "I'm sure someone will be out to clean things up any time..." That never happened. I can forgive a lot, but when I see dirty tables and a messy floor in open view, I start to wonder about all the things I can't see. Look Salsaritas, it saddens me to say this, but I think it's time we part ways. It's been a long time coming, anyway. I was torn on my last review and clearly trying to hang on to something that's no longer there. Let's still be friends though, 'kay?!? Seriously, sad to say I won't be visiting here again. -Neil

Delicious! I'm pregnant and walked in one afternoon for lunch and immediately had to leave because the smell was making me sick. The next night, my husband was really wanting Mexican food and another place we tried was closed for the season. We needed a quick place because we have a toddler...so we went back. I really didn't want it or think I could stomach because of the smell (maybe it was the shrimp that was bothering me) but my burrito was soooo good! I loved it! I got the shredded beef queso burrito. They got my picky order exactly right and the three folks working there was really nice. I really liked the pinto beans...so yummy! One joked with our son to keep him occupied as we tried to figure out the menu. Appreciated that they have a deal for the kids meals of just 99 cents with an adult meal! And it was a lot of food. The chips are made right there. Wish they had one of these up near us. Will visit again when in myrtle beach.

They have a daily special and it's a good pit stop on the way home or casual dining choice. Pulled pork and chicken was great! The chips and salsa were yummy! The servers were also very nice. It could use a Good cleaning inside however; it seemed a little messy. Just needs some interior design and a deep clean to spruce it up

This review is for myrtle beach location, barefoot location has closed. I always get 2-3 pulled pork tacos on flour tortillas (with cilantro, salsa tomatillo, guacamole, and cheese, on them) and chips with queso. They are delicious! Staff is very quick and ready to help and it's nice to get the unlimited toppings with no additional charge for guacamole or queso on the tacos. Chips are thin and seasoned perfectly and queso is tasty. I get out for around 9 bucks.

For me not so great. Food was fast food grade and I don't really like trying to figure out what ingredients to make a meal I'm paying for.

Stopped by during the Spring Bike Fest in May. Barefoot Landing is always busy. Salsarita's had a guy outside pimping the daily specials so of course, how could we resist? Hubby ordered a tacos platter and got his right away. You walk thru each station and the taco-meisters do the fixing. I ordered shrimp taco's and ended up only getting 2 of the 3 because they ran out of shrimp. So another 15 minutes later, they brought the taco(s) to our table--one that I was owed and another one just because we had to wait for them to prepare shrimp. Ole! Salsa was good. Service was good. Inexpensive! The restaurant was fully staffed and was very clean. A good place for a quick meal.

Visited while on vacation and we loved it! This place is similar to Moe's, Qdoba & Chipotle in that you can choose your toppings. I had chicken nachos and nachos with queso. The chips were to die for, light, crispy and most of all fresh. The toppings were also fresh and everything had a great flavor. Their drink special was $3 margaritas. 5 stars on menu! We used a local coupon and they were cool about extra requests we made. 5 stars on service! For a quick bite and great food, stop here!

While on a family vacation we went to the one on 38th ave in Myrtle Beach and the food was AMAZING!!! Really fresh and delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 *'s is b/c I ordered a $4 passionfruit margarita and it had too much lime..not enough passion. But overall great value. And my children ate free...it was after 4pm....Great spot.....

In comparison to other fast food Mexicans (Chipotle and Moe's), this is not as good. Service was good and place was clean. If you have a choice, go to one of the other restaurants in the area.

After two consecutive late nights out in Myrtle, we needed some salt and some grease. Okay, Salsarita's doesn't really do greasy, but they do have solid chain Mexican food that really hits the spot when you're looking for something quick and easy but flavorful. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is solid. Salsarita's hit the spot for us. I would rank it higher than Moe's, lower than Chipotle.

I really like The Salsaritas chain in general, but this particular one is is grungy and worn. The usual Salsaritas cleanliness is missing and there has been little reinvestment in the facility. I would avoid this particular store.

Similar to a Moe's, maybe slightly better. You pick your taco, enchilada, burrito, the choose whatever toppings you want. The chips and pork burrito were good.

Probably the best Mexican style food you're going to find in the area. I've had much better, but for the area, they will suffice.

Limited menu but great food. They make it to order while you pick your toppings. All fresh. Casarito is house specialty. Pitcher of house margarita $12

You cannot really beat four dollar margaritas. The made to order food is also very good. The portions are pretty big and quite filling. The steak burrito was delicious. The prices are also pretty good especially with the portions you get. Plus their free chips and salsa are great munching while enjoying some cheap drinks.

Got the tacos. Its kind of a Chipotle style setup, but its a poor mans Chipotle. Teeny time guac was OK but small. The queso was good (only thing we likes). The side of tortilla chips were pretty good. Pass.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
